i-GATE is the place for entrepreneurs with big ideas.
We are not for profit, and we do not take equity.
We help startups. Period.
Founded in 2010 by the City of Livermore, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories' California site. Our original mission was to support the development of ground breaking technologies.
It turns out that "hard tech" entrepreneurs need most of the same resources as other founders, so we expanded our focus to include technology entrepreneurs of every stripe.
That's where you come in.
i-GATE members typically fall into one of three camps:
- Founders of tech startups in need of some key resource
- Aspiring entrepreneurs in need of perspective and guidance
- Creatives - makers, developers, designers, technologists - in need of community
Whichever category best describes you, i-GATE can help.
How We Work
For founders and startup teams, i-GATE offers key resources to accelerate the path from the idea stage to the first round of funding. These resources can essentially be divided into four categories: work space, mentoring, tools and services.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, makers, and creatives who are not quite ready make the leap, we offer a coworking option that provides access to i-GATE's work space and community.
