Startup Tri-Valley Slack Community Code of Conduct
The Startup Tri-Valley Slack Community was created to increase learning opportunities and connections for all of our members, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, political view, or religion.
While we encourage dynamic interaction, we do not tolerate harassment* of members in any form. Members who engage in bullying or harassing behavior will be removed from the group at the sole discretion of the group organizers.
The Startup Tri-Valley Slack Community also does not permit spamming or unsolicited sales pitches, as they have a detrimental effect on the user experience and discourage engagement with the platform. Members who repeatedly engage in this behavior may be suspended or banned from the platform.
Incident Resolution
- Members should treat each other and organizers with respect and civility.
- Simple disagreements should be resolved between the individuals concerned.
- Harassment or more serious issues should be reported to the Startup Tri-Valley organizers through our Contact Us page.
- Individuals who feel physically threatened should inform their local police department.
*Examples include offensive comments, verbal threats or demands, sexualized images in public spaces, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of sessions or events, unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention, and the advocating or encouraging of any of the above behavior.
