Accelerating Science: New Technologies and New Markets

November 8th, 2017 | Dublin Civic Center

Our next installment of the NextTech Speaker series features Serge Saxonov, co-founder of 10x Genomics, sharing the keys to building a big company in the life science tool space.  Serge is a serial entrepreneur whose previous roles include VP of Applications at QuantaLife (acquired by Bio-Rad), and Founding Architect and Director of R&D at 23andMe.

Serge's endeavors are based on a common goal: to accelerate science.  His tenures at 23andMe, QuantaLife and now 10x Genomics have been aimed at developing new tools to address the most fundamental questions in biology. 10x Genomics has assembled a great hyper-multidisciplinary team to build products with that purpose in mind.   Using our typical informal interview format, Tri-Valley entrepreneur, Don Arnold, will engage the audience in revealing how Serge's technical leadership has built new biotech tools and companies that truly accelerate science.
